Internal beta terms

These terms apply to the ThatBoundGame build distributed through Apple TestFlight. By registering or using the beta, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the beta.

Beta service

ThatBoundGame is unfinished test software. Features, game balance, compatibility, availability and stored beta progress may change or be reset. The current release is mobile-only, requires iOS 17 or later and does not support an original Windows client or legacy protocol.

Your account

You must provide an eligible username, an email address and a password. Keep your credentials private and use only your own account. You are responsible for activity performed through your active session until it is revoked. The testing lane does not yet provide public password-reset delivery.

Fair and safe use

You must not:

• harass another tester or use an abusive, deceptive or rights-infringing username or room name;
• cheat, automate commands, exploit defects, tamper with traffic, impersonate another person or evade rate and security limits;
• attempt to access another account, private room, database, server, secret, source repository or unrelated application;
• interfere with the service, reverse engineer it where prohibited by law, or use the beta for illegal activity;
• submit feedback containing passwords, bearer/session tokens, private keys or another person's unnecessary personal data.

Game state and virtual values

The server is authoritative for terrain, turns, projectiles, damage, winners, Gold and GP. Gold and GP are beta-only virtual values with no cash value, are not transferable, and may be corrected or reset when needed to fix defects or preserve test integrity.

Availability and enforcement

We may limit, suspend or end access to protect players, investigate abuse, maintain the beta or comply with law. We may end the beta or reset test data. We will try to preserve completed-match integrity but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Your feedback

You may submit voluntary beta feedback through TestFlight. You allow the operator to use that feedback to test, secure and improve ThatBoundGame without payment. You retain ownership of any rights you already hold in your feedback.

Intellectual property

The beta, its software and product-owned materials are protected by applicable law. References to GunBound, Thor's Hammer, Dragonbound or other third-party works describe compatibility research and inspiration; third-party names and materials remain the property of their respective owners. Access to this beta does not transfer intellectual-property rights.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error free or preserve beta progress. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded. For this no-charge internal beta, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from beta defects to the extent the law permits.

Deletion and termination

You may stop using the beta, log out or permanently delete your account in the app. If deletion occurs during a match, the server resolves a forfeit before tombstoning the account so the opponent's match is not left unfinished.

Changes and contact

These terms may change as the beta evolves. Material changes will update the date above. Use the TestFlight feedback channel for support, safety, privacy or terms questions during internal testing.
